The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences seems to believe that there never is two without three, at least concerning Gaby Natale and her nationally-syndicated TV show SuperLatina. Following her groundbreaking double win in 2016, Natale has been nominated twice for Outstanding Daytime Talent in a Spanish Language Program and Outstanding Entertainment Program in Spanish, the same categories she took two Daytime EMMYs for last year.
“I am very honored, to say the least”, said Natale after learning about the nominations. “The awards and nominations we have received throughout the years are a validation of almost a decade of hard work as independent producers, starting from a small local station in West Texas to national syndication 9 years later. Looking at the amazing people we are nominated with, I can’t help but feel immensely proud”.
The Daytime EMMY nominations were announced live in The Talk on CBS. Natale shares the Outstanding Talent category with fellow nominees Barbara Bermudo, Camilo Egaña, Tanya Charry and Jackeline Cacho. In the Outstanding Program category, she is nominated alongside El Gordo y La Flaca (Univision), Destinos (CNN en Español), LAnzate (Univision) and Jackeline Cacho Presenta Triunfo Latino (VmeTV).
The timely nod comes at a very busy time for Natale. She recently announced that her first book El Circulo Virtuoso (The Virtuous Circle) will be published by HarperCollins Español on July 25.
“I wrote my book out of a need to share with the world this incredible pool of knowledge that I gleaned from interviewing some of the most fascinating newsmakers in arts, business, science and sports. My TV career and my work as author are deeply related. With these nominations, I feel an extra dose of responsibility towards my audience and my colleagues for their support and recognition”, said Gaby.
.In 2017, Natale will take her blockbuster year a step further, as she makes her debut as a tech entrepreneur when AGANARmedia -the parent company of SuperLatina, where she serves as President- launches Celebrastic, the first-ever mobile app to help parents crowdfund, shop for and organize their kids’ birthday parties.
The Daytime EMMYs will take place April 30 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, CA.
Gaby Natale will speak at Hispanicize 2017’s Dime Summit as part of the Latina Empowerment Panel on Monday 3rd alongside authors Lorraine Ladish and Martin Llorens.
