United Airlines celebrates Latin America with Latino trendsetters, influencers and newsmakers at Hispanicize Texas in Houston

Previous: Six top Texas multicultural digital content creators including The Positive Mom, Qué Means What, Mami Coach, Yo Mariana, Juan of Words and The Jose Resendez, and their families and friends will tee off against each other on Friday, July 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the First Annual Hispanicize Topgolf® Tournament. The Topgolf Tournament is part of the exciting pre-event activities of the inaugural Hispanicize Texas event that on Saturday, July 29, is bringing together hundreds of the state’s content creators, journalists, entrepreneurs and entertainment professionals to Houston’s Silver Street Studios. The tournament will be broadcast on Facebook Live from the Topgolf Houston-Katy location at facebook.com/topgolfhouston, and will also be shared through the participants’ and Hispanicize social media channels. Winners of the Topgolf Tournament will be announced at the event. “Topgolf fosters a fun social atmosphere that everyone can enjoy,” said Manny Ruiz, CEO of the HMG brand that owns the Hispanicize events. “Plus, it offers an amazing backdrop with the outfield and giant targets, friendly competition, good food and drinks. It’s the perfect gathering place for our digital creators to have fun and get creative.” Through the premium experience of play, food and music, Topgolf is inspiring people of all ages and skill levels – even non-golfers – to come together for playful competition. Guests can enjoy point-scoring golf games using microchipped balls that instantly score themselves, showing players the accuracy and distance of their shots on a TV screen in their hitting bay. The venues also feature an outstanding chef-driven menu, top-shelf drinks, big screen TVs and music in climate-controlled hitting bays for all-seasons comfort. Year-round programming includes events for kids and families, social leagues, golf tournaments, golf instruction and more. Hispanicize Texas will empower and engage digital creators in the Lone Star State, one of the largest markets in the nation for multicultural digital influencers. Hispanicize Texas will feature four, full-day tracks with more than 20 sessions: 1. A multicultural content creators track; 2. An entrepreneurship and leadership track; 3. A GenZ track curated by Latinitas; and 4. An entrepreneur’s mentorship track.

United Airlines (UAL), the exclusive airline sponsor of Hispanicize – the leading event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers – today announced its participation at Hispanicize Texas in Houston on Saturday, July 29, 2017.

Speakers and social media influencers will fly aboard United Airlines to Houston to engage with digital content creators, cultural influencers, and entrepreneurs. Throughout the Hispanicize event, United will engage attendees and their social media networks with music and dance performances that celebrate the airline’s 25 years of service to Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, and 50 years of service to Mexico. United’s gateway to Latin America is Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) where the airline operates nonstop service to 51 destinations across Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean – including 392 daily flights across the United States.

“We are proud of the partnership we’ve built with United Airlines and their commitment to serve our Latino community through Hispanicize Texas and other events,” said Angela Sustaita-Ruiz, co-founder, and CMO of the Hispanicize Media Group that owns Hispanicize Texas. “In Houston, Miami and later this year in Los Angeles, we’re grateful to know that United Airlines is with us and has services to those destinations.”

In addition to its special Latin America anniversary presentations, United will be featured in a roundtable discussion with influencers and will share tips for what content creators need to know to work with brands. Hispanicize Texas will also feature a full slate of sessions devoted to entrepreneurship and cultural themes that touch marketing, the arts, journalism and leadership.

Hispanicize Texas attendees engaging in conversations with @United on social media, using the #UnitedatHispanicize hashtag, will have opportunities throughout the event to win United Airlines prizes.
