“Prudential Financial’s partnership with Hispanicize is unprecedented and will instantly stand out for its scale and sincere commitment to champion the hopes and dreams of Latinos,” said Manny Ruiz, CEO and founder of Hispanicize. “Prudential’s values align with ours as two organizations that are truly devoted to empowering Latinos and helping them achieve their fullest potential.”

“The US population continues to evolve, and that makes it even more important for us to tap into shifting demographics to help more people achieve the financial prosperity and security that we believe should be available to everyone,” said Mammen Verghis, vice president of Multicultural Consumer Marketing at Prudential. “As the single largest and fastest growing minority community in the United States, we understand the importance of engaging Latinos as we look to reach out to increasingly diverse consumers. Hispanicize draws many of the most influential members of the Latino community each year, which is why we are excited to partner with Manny and his team in the effort to help bridge the gap of financial information and increase access to financial tools.”

Scope of Prudential at Hispanicize 2017

As the presenting sponsor, Prudential will be fully immersed in this year’s event, beginning with a takeover of Hispanicize’s marquee community-building program, the fourth annual Positive Impact Awards (PIAs) gala on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Designed to recognize community leaders, the PIAs will highlight the contributions of individuals across the U.S. who dedicate their lives, time and/or money to serving their communities. PIA winners were already announced so check www.hispzpia.com for updates and the latest news.

Prudential is also the top supporter of the first National Association of Hispanic Journalists Spanish-language convention that is taking place within Hispanicize and will provide journalists with five full days of professional development content. To encourage attendees to take control of their financial future, Prudential is providing a series of financial workshops for many of the event’s most influential attendees, including a partnership with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists to inform journalists about how they can help deliver news and information needed to build assets to achieve financial security to this community.

In addition, Prudential will return to the second annual DiMe Summit, an intimate, influencers-only day of in-depth workshops, sessions, inspirational talks, and VIP content. The summit kicks off Hispanicize 2017 Week on Monday, April 3rd in Miami’s Wynwood arts district and will welcome 250 top Latina, Latino, and multicultural creators and celebrities. A fashion show featuring the theme of inspiring financial independence will be presented by top Latino and multicultural influencers.

Additionally, Prudential will help recognize Emmy, Peabody and Alfred Dupont award-winning journalist José Díaz-Balart, anchor of Telemundo’s national daily newscast “Noticias Telemundo” and of “NBC Nightly News Saturday” at Wednesday’s Latinovator luncheon. Diaz-Balart will be presented the Hispanicize Latinovator award for his achievements and unique position as the only anchor of both a national Spanish-language and English-language TV network, a distinction which positions him among the most recognizable Latinos in journalism.
